Due to the consideration of very individual mechanisms, we can now speak of domain-specific ranking factors. In addition to the generally applicable rules, which primarily relate to technical aspects, we must also find the mechanisms that are decisive for the ranking of one’s own domain.
Correlation analysis
In the past, similar questions have been approached with the help of correlation analysis. Here, isolated key figures were analysed in relation to the rankings achieved. Yet, due to its strong simplification, such an analysis did not lead to any concrete, sound or even individual guidance.
Multidimensional dependencies
Due to the mutual relationship of the diverse mechanisms, the investigation of multidimensional dependencies becomes necessary. It can give us information on whether special parameters can have an influence under certain circumstances – and whether this is performance-relevant for our domain.
